Gone are the days when studying for merchant navy competency exams were restricted to printed books. Today, everything has gone digitized, including examination preparation. Studying online is fun, interactive and easy to absorb.

  1. 1. Internet Based Tests (IBT) are used to take online mock tests for practice purposes prior to the real exam and designed to be as much like the real exam as possible.
  2. 2. Proctored Based Test (PBT) Tests can also be conducted in a semi-controlled environment to monitor unfair means, if any, using AI enabled technology, webcam, etc.
  3. 3. Computer Based Tests (CBT) are online tests for the purpose of taking real examinations and conducted in a manned test center.
  4. 4. On Board Test (OBT) Time to time vessel staff needs to undergo assessment to upgrade themselves by onboard orientation program and identify their training needs. These tests are conducted offline after installing software on a client based server. Data can be sync to shore periodically as and when internet connectivity is available.
